Weight Watchers is the program that works best for me, but I just can't afford the meetings ($44 a month is more than I can really do).

I'm not a member of WW so I might not understand the fee part but what about seeing if they will reduce or maybe wave the fees? I would think that they would rather have you more than your $$. Just an idea. LK

Hi Mary,
I think that sounds like a good idea! I know I can get too hung up on the scale numbers anyway. I'm sure you will do okay without the meetings. I was thinking, though, have you ever checked out overeaters anonymous? They're a great place for support and meetings are free (I'm pretty sure, but they might ask for voluntary donations). They've got a pretty cool website, I don't know the url, but I'm sure you can google it and find out. I've never gone, but I'd like to if I lived somewhere else (too many of my clients go to it, so I can't go and be comfortable/ethical).

I doubt that ww would waive the fees, honestly. They are a business first and foremost. I got a bad taste in my mouth for corporate ww after they made dotti take a bunch of stuff off of her website.

WW won't waive or lower the fees, believe me.

Sounds like a plan to me!

Well Mary...they say that it's best to judge your health and weight loss by how you FEEL and not by the NUMBER on the scale, so this might be a good thing. Good luck girl!

The important thing is that doing it. Watching the pounds go down is the plus side. ;)

You can do it, hon!!

Good for you to keep going on your own!! Like you said you know what to do and you have support here so you are good to go!! Using your clothes and measurements is just as good as weighing, you will also know by how you feel.

Keep inspiring us!
