Yet another splurge. I bought and ate an entire tub of ice cream. It's sad because I'm finally getting to see results, and one craving comes along, and BANG... there goes all the hard work. Well, back on the horse I go.

Don't be to hard on yourself.Maybe next time you get such a bad craving, head out and get a dilly bar or something small(think one serving).I think they even have sugarfree or lowfat. That way,you get to satisfy that craving(make sure you account in calorie wise if your counting)and yet feel the sasifaction of not over indulging((hugs))

Confession Time -
When I started feeling better this week, I actually made a MacDonald's run and bought TWO Big Macs: 1 for lunch and 1 for dinner. Oh well, let's own it and move on. Okay? LK

I am doing something that has been working for me. I have lost 22 pounds in 4 and 1/2 months. It might not be as much as it might have been. However, what I am doing may make it slower, but I am living my life. I eat low fat and low calorie for the majority of the week. I drink six glasses of water a day and walk about five days a week. Sometimes, I even miss a few days during those five. Once or twice a week, I go out to eat and eat whatever I want. It might include dessert. Doing this, I get to dine out, eat at family gatherings, and satisfy cravings. I also don;t feel deprived or feel as if my eating plan dictates my schedule. I don't get depressed about falling off wagons or getting bored with my food choices.

Do you think you can schedule in things like ice cream every few days so that you dont get the "I must cheat!" urge?

Shoot, I schedule in a good treat every day! I've started doing this because when I wasn't, I would get the urge to really binge every few days. Just last night I had Cold Stone Creamery (an ice cream place, if you don't have any) and I had their Sinless Sans Fat Sweet Cream--it had only 180 calories for 3/4 C!! It was so good and creamy. Yummy. The day before that I had 1 serving of Hershey's kisses that totalled to just over 200 calories and ended up eating 2 small pieces of Pizza Hut Pizza for dinner. I've still lost weight doing this, and it's great. I do make sure that the rest of my meals are very nutrient dense--one of my favorites right now is a black bean burrito with salsa, bell peppers and 2% cheese. It keeps me full for hours, and has only about 275 calories. I try to eat around 1500 calories a day, 250 of which I dedicate to whatever "bad" food I want. I've had Philadelphia cheesecake bars, Arby's roast beef, Hershey's kisses, Little Debbie snacks, you name it, and yet I still get in about 7-9 servings of fruits and veggies and 4 or 5 servings of dairy. Since last week, I have eaten out at restaurants/fast food 7 times and still lost 2.5 lbs, and the last time I lost 40 lbs in 3 months, I had a really good restaurant meal once a week and indulged in dark chocolate/peanut butter/full fat cheese almost every evening.
