I went to the doctor today and I actually weigh more than I thought I did. I thought I weighed 275 pounds. The doctor's scale says 282 pounds. Oh great!!!!!!!! Now I have to add on 7 pounds to the 150 pounds I already have to lose. I am so disgusted with myself. Why I ever chose to be this overweight I have no idea. I was not an overweight child, teen or young adult. I only started getting fat a few years ago.
I have a long road ahead of me but I think in the end it will be worth it!

Hello. I read your post and it sounded so much like me. I weigh 279 and look back at my college pictures when I was 179 and can't believe I have gained 100 pounds since then. Even then I had some weight to lose but at that weight I had so much energy and felt really good! I know by losing weight I will feel better and live a longer life. I am starting WW on Monday and am doing it with a different mindset than with the other weight loss efforts I've done. I am going to look at it as one meal at a time, not look at the big picture. If I mess up then I will get right back on board and not say I will start over tomorrow (something I would do all too often). It is a long road to the final goal, but each pound you lose is better than a pound gained and closer to that goal. Good luck!

Try not being to down about that.Recently I had the same thing.According to my scale I was down to 235,but when I went in for a phsical...the scale read 241.So I either didn't lose as much as I thought I had...or I weighed more then I thought I had when I first started out.It sucks yeah, but don't let it get you down...in fact, try making that knowledge even more reason to get serious and get that weight off :o) Make small goals as well and that shouldn't make feel so overwhelming.((hugs))

Don't worry, you can do it! You seem to have such a positive take on losing weight that I know you will succeed. I wouldn't fret too much about the weigh in at the doctor's. If have been weighing yourself at home and you weighed 275, then the difference is probably just normal fluctuation that occurs during the day. I usually gain about 5 lbs depending on when I weigh myself during the day, so I only go by the # that is on my scale first thing in the morning after I have used the bathroom but before I put a drop of anything into my mouth. If you haven't been weighing yourself and you really are a few pounds heavier, don't worry too much. The good thing is that you are determined to do this, and is it really a big deal if it takes you an extra month or two? Who knows, a lot of it could probably be water weight, too. My first week back on my diet I lost 11 pounds! Good luck on your journey and keep us posted. :)
