Hi ladies,

I know we should have at least 64oz of water a day and i am trying to do that. My question is: does it have to be distributed through the day? cuz i sort of "clutter" drinking the water at certain times and most of the day i go "dry". Just wondering if i am doing the right thing. Thanks

Well, it's probably better to keep hydrated throughout the day, but if you are drinking most of your water when you are most active, then it's probably not too much of a problem. I drink around 150 oz of water a day, but most of it is while I am at work, which is when I am most active. When I'm sitting at home doing nothing, I usually don't drink a whole lot. I do try to drink extra before and after I exercise to make sure I don't get dehydrated from that. All in all, if you listen to your body and you aren't getting overly thirsty then you are probably fine. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that if you do get dehydrated, it usually makes you think you are hungry, so if you notice that you feel hungrier when you aren't drinking a lot of water, you might want to try to up your water intake.

Well, for me, it's easier because I sit at a desk all day and just sip, sip, sip.

I drink mine throughout the day. All day and all night long. Of course I do have the occasional diet pepsi, fruit juice, and veggie juice too.

I drink a min. 96oz of water daily. I use a 24 oz glass and drink 4 of those throughout the day. My tip would be to start the day with a large glass of water instead of coffee. LK

I drink about 10 glasses a day, but am aiming at 12, and I tend to drink mine throughout the day. I do drink more when I exercise, though. Let's see, I usually drink a cup or two before I have my morning coffee (I always wake up really thirsty), then I drink two 16.9 oz bottles with my workout (that's a great motivator for me to exercise, BTW....cause on the days that I don't, I don't drink as much water. lol). After that, I save one of the bottles and just keep refilling it (we bought a water purifier thing for our faucet....I *hate* the taste of the tap water otherwise). I have to stop drinking (aside from sips here and there) after about 7pm, though. Ever since I had my second child, my bladder seems smaller. If I drink too much before bed, I'm up all night going to the bathroom. lol I also try to drink at least 6 to 8 cups before 1 or 2 in the afternoon, cause I notice that if I don't, then I tend to slack and not drink as much.
