Hi, I have a quick question for everyone; What eating plan is working for you??
Everyday it seems like I read about a new plan that seems to make sense. My head is starting to swim from all the different plans out there right now. Low carb, low protein, high protein, low fat, low calorie.... I was just wondering what is working for everyone. Thanks. Karen 238/222/145

when i lost my first 30 pounds, it was because i mostly cut out sugar and also ate sensible portions. i didn't eat until i felt stuffed. then, i lost those good habits and started gaining a little bit. now i am on the south beach diet, which i was truly doubtful about at first. i try to avoid all fads cause i generally just don't trust them. me, my bf, and a friend started it last week, and we have all dropped some weight already. i have lost about 8 pounds so far, my bf has lost over 10. it's not that difficult, and the really good thing is that it changes over time. i would suggest either getting the book or just checking out the website to see if it's something you might be interested in. since i'm still new to it, i don't know how much harder or how effective it will continue to be.

Weightwatchers works best for me. This way, I can still eat the foods, I am accustomed to eating and don't feel deprived. I still have my ethnic foods, i.e., soul, chinese and mexican but with recipes that are altered and a point system that lets me know how much I can eat. I have plenty of weightwatcher and diet cookbooks that have all of the servings either by points or the breakdowns needed to calulate my points. Also, I get recipes from weightwatchers site (usually three recipes if you are not a member) and individual websites that feature weightwatcher recipes. I have my points calculator which calculates my data and then I can record the points and know right away how many points I have left. The key to any diet plan is just staying strong enough to stick with it.

Hi, Thanks for the suggestions. I think I finally got myself back on track. It must have been a blip on the screen, but man, Wednesday and Thursaday were rough days for me. I ate 4 Hershey's kisses among other things I know I shouldn't have, but I am back to eating salads and not craving the sweets. I also picked up the walk and jog dvd and I am going to do that right now. Thanks again, you guys are all great. Karen

I used to be a big "Body For Life" advocate, however, this plan is much more complete, along with fitness guides and bonuses such as "how to measure your own body fat". It truly works! After being in a rut on BFL, I started this program and lost 38 lbs within 4 months!!
