Since Kerstin is working so hard to keep us all on the right track, here is another little post to help us in the right direction.

I, Shawna, will treat myself well this week and take this journey one day at a time.
I, , will treat myself well this week and take this journey one day at a time. I will remember that this is a lifelong journey while doing my best each and every day. I will not feel bad when I slip up and will not allow it to become an excuse for more "slip ups". My children are also deserving of a good healthy example, so I will keep this in mind when I go grab for that chocolate chip cookie before dinner. I will not give my skinny office manager the evilImgonnakillyou eye as she talks about how she is getting too fat while she endulges in coffee cake. And if she offers me any, I will politely say "No thank you" with a smile and pop in a piece of gum. If my MIL/friend/coworker calls and asks me to go to my all-time favorite restraunt, then I will either take a raincheck or plan ahead. I will take every opportunity to sip on my water and take the stairs. I will make time each day to pamper myself even if it means locking the bathroom door while I read a book and "do my buisness". And finally, dawn, will lay her head down tonight and feel good about myself because I deserve it!
On that note, I read in O magazine (Oprah's mag)....from her trainer, Bob Greene.....
"You're fat because you give more to others than you give to yourself"
I know this is part of my problem! So, lets give a little bit more to ourselves and get going!

(deleted a few things that don't apply to me...namely, because I don't have an outside job. lol)
Dawn---I like that Bob Greene quote. It's very true for me, too. It's how I've been taught, how I've been my whole life, so of course I transfer it to my family now. I know for me, I do it because there's this little voice in my head that says I don't matter, that everyone else is more important.
We're worth it, ladies!
