I just tried to post something similar to below a few minutes ago and it never appeared. So, I guess I hit cancel by accident. If I didn't and it shows up elsewhere, I'm sorry for the repeat thread!
Ok so for the past four weeks I have been using my glider, exercise DVD's and the occasional stroll along with my new eating plan. Well, today me, my husband and our son went walking and I am so happy with myself! I wasn't out of breath at all!!! Usually I get winded just walking down the street. But today we walked for about and hour and fifteen minutes. Sure I was out of breath going up hills but when I did I just slowed down slightly. My husband was great the entire time. He kept saying "Come on! You can do it! It's just a small hill! You're almost there!" LOL! I am just so happy! I guess the last 4 weeks haven't been for nothing. Even though the scale hasn't moved my new healthy eating and exercise must be doing something!
I am so surprised I walked for over an hour and fifteen minutes, burned over 1200 calories and took over 6500 steps. Don't know if that amount of steps is good or not in that amount of time, but I am just happy I could do it! We plan on alternating between biking and walking every day (about the same distance). My husband even said: "Now you will have to tell you friends on the message boards that you were able to walk and weren't out of breath. I am so proud of you." LOL! He's too funny. But honestly, I'm usually huffing and puffing and not able to walk too long or too far. And, I epsecially wasn't ever able to keep up with him. Today, however, was different! He constantly was asking me "Are you ok? Am I going too fast?" Because he knows usually he is going too fast and usually I'm not ok. LOL! But today I was and I am happy about that.
