Saw a recent picture of myself

I saw a recent pic of myself with my arm around my Aunt Joanie - she's her right weight. I can honestly say, without getting down on myself, I'm just making an honest observation, I look like a wall. Seriously! I am so broad and wide that I do look like a wall - with a head on it. It actually kind of surprised me because I don't feel like a wall. I feel heavy, of course I do, but I don't feel like a wall. You know the feeling when you walk by a store window and catch your reflection and think, "Who is that?" It wasn't a bad feeling like that but weird none-the-less. I'm a very broad person. Hmmmm - Kristi :o) <><

I know that feeling. I know I"m heavy. I know it, feel it. But we went down to visit my BIL and his wife and kids. And of course my husband took pictures of everybody, to send back to the rest of the family (his mother loves that stuff), and of course there was one of me and my BIL's wife. Now, this woman is the absolute sweetest person. She is so nice and so personable and just makes you feel completely at home. But she's a tiny, thin little Korean woman. And that picture was of the two of us standing with our arms around each other, like buddies. OMG. I'm a few inches taller than she is...and a WHOLE lot thicker. What an eye-opener that picture was. Was definitely a "OMG, is that really me?" feeling.
Consequently, my husband also took a picture of me sitting in this chair (my computer is in the kitchen, so I sit at the table). Now, granted I'm hunched over, chin in my hand, but I am ROUND. I'm apple shaped, according to those things online.
So you're a wall...I'm a ball. LOL

Oh girls, I think many of us know that feeling.

I agree with Kerstin, use that to your advantage! I use a picture that was taken on christmas together with a picture when i was "normal size" for motivation. Recently i put those in the "candy" drawer and haven't had a bar of chocolate since. (yep i still have a junkfood drawer. dh & ds can't live without one).
