In another post I was saying that recently I have been trying to change my all or nothing attitude.

I totally agree with you, Shawna. I am pretty much doing the same thing. I think I am finally getting some motivation here. As you can see by my stats I have gained 35 pounds, admitting it and writing it down for the first time. REALITY CHECK. The party is over. This has been going on since Oct of 2003 and time to stop. I have been on plan and eating good for a fews days now anyway.
I am eating what I want with in reason and only when hungry. I will never "diet" again, it does not work for me. Better choices and portion control is for me. :-)Stephanie 280/258/223 For now

Hey, sounds like a good plan to me. If you pick up from where you left off then you'll make progress.

Hey Girl - I'm right there with ya and everyone else about scrapping the rest of the day if I eat something I shouldn't. But I've seen Kerstin and you say too many times on this board, to get back on OP right away!

I can understand about the "starting over" and feeling like you have so far to go and will the finally be the time. Look how many times I've started over. But let me point out one thing Shawna, you may have gained back "x" amount of pounds but you've still lost like 70 or something! Why don't you try thinking about that everytime you think about how many you put on - turn the negative into a positive.

Maybe you need that pressure again of me "idolizing" you! Remember in the beginning how you were my inspiration???? Well, you still are - faults and everything. Know why? B/c you've lost so much weight already, and you still keep trying and you are very knowledgable about weightloss, oh and you're a great lady too! So there - the pressure is on still!

Shawna, I just want you to know it is normal to gain weight after you quit smoking. When I quit I was about 170 pounds. I was your age or close. At that time I was riding a bike to and from work, 10 miles round trip. I did this most everyday and I also was watching what I was eating and still gained 35 pounds. So it does happen but now you can stop gaining and start living again. Since I decided to stop dwelling on food and no more diets I feel good. I know I can handle this now and so can you. Oh yea, it will be 22 years in June since I have been smoke free. :-)Stephanie 280/258/223 for now
