Just wondering if anyone has given hypnosis a try and if so, what results did you get? If any. I've tried every diet pill known to man (Metabolife, Stackers, Xenedrine, TrimSpa x32) they work but get to be expensive and addictive. Diets don't work for me because I feel hungry, deprived and frustrated. I've made some modifications to the way I eat but I refuse to do any form of diet (Atkins, Slim Fast, South Beach...). I belive losing weight and maintaining the loss requires a lifestyle change, not a quick fix. The problem for me is, I hate anything that's healthy...literally. I don't like vegetables, I like very few fruits and even those that I do like I get bored with very quickly. My eating style comes down to breads, pasta, cereal, cheese and chocolate. I don't eat much meat and I don't have time to cook dinners. I work as an Emergency Medical Technician and my schedule doesn't allow for a lot of sleep time much less prep food time. I've tried bringing food with me, but again there's only so much you can carry on an ambulance and I get bored very quickly. Not to mention there isn't always someplace to heat food up and sometimes we don't get a meal break 'til we're 8 hours into our shift, which can be 3am. There is NOTHING available at 3am, much less anything healthy.
Anyway, I'm giving hypnosis a try to help me work through my food issues. I've just ordered the set of hypnosis CD's and DVD's and I'm somewhat skeptical. Has anyone tried hypnosis? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Kerstin! Your input is very much appreciated. For now, I've decided to try hypnosis through a set of DVD's and CD's which I researched and ordered online. I know there are many issues from my past that are probably contributing to my problems with food but I think this will help. If I find that the CD's are helping I may opt for more in depth therapy and seek a professional.
Thanks again. Have a great weekend!

I've only tried group hypnosis for smoking...and it didn't work.My husband had(I broke it after buying it a second time because I lost his first one)a hypnosis tape for relaxation that he and I both loved,so I'd definately try a weightloss version if I found one.I do have a very short download that I found for weightloss...in fact,I can try finding it and share it.It was free,so heck...why not!In fact,I think I listened to it when I first got back into eating better and exercising and even though I havent listened to it in two months,I'm still on plan.

M & Bren!
I would most like to try hynosis! So if you can send me the on line address for the free down load and the address to where I can buy some CD's I would greatly appreciate it!
I am very excited about doing this! I really can't afford much of anything right now. If my insurance will let me use it for insured hypnosis treatment...I will most certianly try that!
A very excited

Thats the link.I think you can purchase his things as well if you like the downloads.
Here's the link I used. I purchased the entrie Zen of Thin set, which is pretty pricey. It's not that I can afford it but, I'm at the end of my rope hear so I might as well go for the gold on this one. Besides, the program has a money back guarantee for up to one year...can't beat that.

Thanks to all who responded. I will also look into the other link provided.
Good luck to all!
