Well, I went for a walk today on my lunch break at work to get away from my coworkers and get outside on this beautiful day. Since I've been so grumpy, I thought it might help lift my mood. Well, I work in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, and if I exit my building, there is about 3 blocks worth of walking that is all UPHILL--majorly. So, I walked up, then walked over to the next block and walked down, then walked back UP and walked back to my starting point. Then I decided to do it again. Well, when I was walking back down, I saw something laying on the sidewalk at the corner of the street. It was a $20 bill!!! Well, there were no other people close by to ask if it belonged to them, and since it's such an urban area, I just picked it up and went on my way :). I feel kind of bad for whoever dropped it, but it really made my day. And, when I got back inside from my 20 minute walk, I felt 100 times better physically, too! :) Happy, happy, joy, joy!

Now the only thing bothering me is, Do I spend the money on something fun now, or save it to buy new clothes after I lose more weight??? Hmm...I might have to spend it on new clothes right now becuase Old Navy has their ribbed tank tops (the one's like guys A-line tanks) on sale 2 for $10, and that includes the plus sizes. I bought some the other day and they fit great--they are actually long enough for me to be comfortable in them!

I think you should use it when you've accomplished a mini-goal. =)

Maybe exercising every day for two weeks? Or staying On-Plan for a set amount of days.

It's great to reward yourself when you've made a goal!

(but those tanks sound awesome too!)

Well, if it were me, that money would be burning a hole through my pocket so I'd definitely spend it.

How awesome is that! The universe has a way of rewarding us!
I find it's helpful to post something on the fridge as a reminder for a goal. Right now I have a nail polish add because when I hit 20lbs, I'm going for a manicure. We're also going to Aruba in November so I have a postcard from there on the fridge because I would like to lose about 40 lbs. before we go.

Maybe you could tape the $20 there with a picture of something you want to buy and then promise yourself you'll use it after reaching a mini goal such as losing 5 lbs or taking that walk you did at lunch every day for a week.

Whatever you decide, spend it on something you want - treat yourself!!
