Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. This board will be a great tool with my weight loss endeavours. I had a scary afternoon. We went out to this little festival in town and we were on our way to lunch in the afternoon and I started having this pain under my left breast. My arm was somewhat asleep, but I have been having problems with mild muscle problems in that area so I didn't know if it could be that or my heart. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow evening and will talk to him about it. I weight 370 so I could possibly be all that cholesterol that I have never got checked. Today is a day of change for me...the beginning of a whole different life...want to come along!!?? Thanks for letting me vent and for sharing...I needed this!

Yikes Lucy! Definitely tell your doc about the numbness and the pain and let us know what happens.

And congrats on getting motivated. Remember, we're all here to help each other, so let us know how you progress!

Take it easy tonight and if it comes back give your Dr. a call. Chest pain isn't something to mess around with. Update us when you have a chance. sharla

Women have heart attacks different than men. With yours being unsettling and not crushing it could still have been a heart attack. Ladies, this is coming from a nurse of 20 years - if you have chest pain or uncomfortableness in your chest, pain or tightness up into your jaw or left arm, pain that radiates from your chest into your back, cold sweats, etc., get to the doc either by ambulance (best) or friend driving you. Our heart attacks can be so mild that we pass it off as something else. Women are used to "bearing up" and taking much more than men can (it's true, isn't it? seems like it's true anyway). The old saying of better safe than sorry applies 100% here. Be well! Kristi :o) <><
