I am so glad I found this message board. I am 29 yrs old, 260 lbs and miserable. I am disgusted at myself when I look in the mirror. Only 5 years ago I got down to 180 and after quitting smoking and having a baby I've let it get the best of me. I am trying so hard to get motivated but I feel like I have no one to talk to or support me...until now. Now there's a glimmer of hope for me and you can't start a fire without a spark...I'm going to the gym AND to the swimming pool tomorrow! I even bought a 12-pack of slim-fast for my lunches. Any advice would be so appreciated, any words of encouragement, tips....THANKS!

Hi Angie! Welcome to the board! It sounds like you are super motivated and ready to get this weight rolling off of you! The best tip that I can offer right now is to keep track of everything, foods you eat, exercises you do, weight losses! I have a journal I keep by my bed for that kind of stuff because I can't always get online. It helps me to see exactly how I need to change what I'm doing and eating. Especially with my exercise. I haven't exercised in so long that I am slowly adding minutes to each workout!
Good luck!
We're all here to support you!
