I am 37yrs old. I hate my body. I have gained so much in the past 2yrs I have put on almost 30pds. I feel like a good year blimp. I am a member of a gym. I don't go like I should due to no motorvation.. I eat ok. Not 100% good. But Im trying. I can drink water when I do go to the gym...lol.. I need that extra push to get off my butt and get moving. I hope to meet other women who can kick my butt and get me going again.. I have been lurking here for sometime and just felt like blah.. But today I decided to come out and say "Hi". So I am hoping to meet some new friends and help ya out and get some help in returns.. Do you run any challenges?.. That I love doing .. Challeges are my favorite..

Look forward to posting with you..

Hi Terri! Welcome to the board! I understand about feeling like a GoodYear blimp. That's the reason I haven't owned a bathing suit in 8 years!
The main thing that is keeping me motivated right now is hanging "skinny" clothes up in different parts of the house so that I'll constantly be reminded of how bad I'd love to fit back in those clothes.
Another thing that helps me is doing research on anything and everything related to losing weight. Not only will it give you ideas and the knowledge you need to lose weight, but a lot of the information is just interesting to know regardless. I'm one of those people who reads and learns as much as possible because you never know when the smallest fact will come in handy!
Good luck on your weightloss!

Hi Terri and welcome to the board. I think we cal all identify with the way you're feeling now, but the good news is, that it is totally within your power to change that. There are all different types of people here on different diets and doing different exericise routines, so I'm sure you'll have plenty of references!

As a matter of fact, we are starting a challeng on Monday. The Bathing Beauty Bootcamp Challenge. You can find the info under the challenges section of our board. I do hope you'll join as I think we'll have a great time.

Again, welcome to the board and I hope to see you around often.

I know this is hard, looking at our bodies with anything but contempt when we get to the point that we can't take it anymore. But this body of yours is sustaining your life, so start loving it and it will be easier to take care of it. You'll want to take care of it when you look at how its managed to go on in spite of what you've done to it. I am so thankful that my body hasn't thrown in the towel yet. Does this mean I'm perfect all the time? Not even, but I sure am doing more for my body than I ever did. I'm exercising, eating less portions, taking vitamins; my body appreciates it and shows me by getting more toned and yes, even lighter. Hang out on the positive side. Truly you will find this ride a whole lot better :o) Kristi <><
