Crappy Weekend

WELL, I had a wedding to go to Saturday, and a picnic on sunday...needless to say I topped out around 2000 calories both days. (Trying to stay around 1500, definitly under 1900!) My biggest "OOPS" was the ambrosia salad...but MAN it's one of my favorites. I made the best choices I could, but I had a few alchoholic drinks as well. I guess I never realized how caloric those are!!!
Anyway, I guess my real question is, which is more important? Staying within your calorie range EVERY DAY, or on average throughout the week? I'm back on the wagon today after my small slippage - and I'm buying a scale and a measuring tape on wednesday.
Thanks for listening, and thanks for all the responses to my first thread here. Y'all are great.

Hi You know what I finally realized after years of trying to lose whatever weight range/size was in style and being always frantic and nervous...It is not a race. you are gonna have times when you will eat or drink more than you normally would allow yourself. It happens to all of us. I have been slumping for about 3 weeks. No loss no gain no exercise either.Today I am back and kickboxed all my frustration (whatever that was) out..But i am going to continue. You really did not do so bad 2000 cals is realy not going to make much difference .And you are already back on track!!! Don't even think about it Look ahead , don't get obsessed. You know what you're doing so Look forward and bit by bit you'll there get even if it takes a long time. Who cares really. Everyday is a new day and you wake up and look and feel a little bit better. Do me a favor will ya?
When I get all bummed out ,remind me of what I just said OK? Just kidding...

Hi,
I don't think you did bad at all. You have to allow yourself a little leeway on special occasions or you will feel deprived. And you are already back on track, GOOD FOR YOU!!!
I think you are doing great and if you keep your calorie at an average you'll do fine. I'm on the WW at home program and have lost 3.5 my first week. Will see how I do this week tomorrow night.
Have a great day!!

I'm sorry your weekend didn't turn out as planned, but you did learn something right?
You guys are awesome. I guess I'm just so scared I'm going to slip back into the old rut. This is the third time I've really decided to lose all this extra flub that I'm carrying around, so I know how bad it feels to just quit and go on a binge. I hate feeling embarrased in my own skin.
Thanks again, guys!
