I find it so hard to get all the water in.. by the time i do its almost midnight and then im up all night running... can plain unsweetened ice tea be considered in the water equation?? I felt like i grew 2 humps with all the water :)

As far as I remember, only decaffinated tea counts towards water, but then only 1 or 2 glasses. Try adding some lemon to your water....its yummy! Also, I like my water very very cold...that might help. My friend, tho, likes it room temp and can't drink it any other way! Go figure!!! lol

Well, I agree with Dawn, but I also think you can count other things.

Some people actually dont think that drinking water helps you lose weight...its just good for your body.

It depends on what you read. Some say count anything with caffeine as half water, others say have half again as much water for each caffeinated drink. Others say anything with water (soup, tea, etc.) all count toward your water.

There is a doctor who says that drinking gallons of water isn't necessary at all. That we get plenty of water from the foods we eat. He says if you're thirsty have a drink of water, but we don't need to drink so much water.

I know this doesn't help but it's like any other health, fitness or nutrition subject...it just depends on who you talk to.

I have to disagree with getting plenty of water through food.

Well, I notice a lack of weight loss when I don't drink enough water. I used to think it was a myth, but then gave it a try. I saw definite changes for the better.

I didn't say I believed this, I was using it as examples of all the different information that's out there.

I have to agree with Dawn. When in the past I had successful weight loss was when I drank the most water. I lost 55 pounds and was drinking 100 oz a day and the same several years ago when I lost 74. Now I am not drinking water the way I should and am not losing! :-) Stephanie
