Oreos and my light blue shirt

Well, this was just GREAT! Here I am, stress eating, when what do I see but a vision of myself in the mirror wearing my beautiful light blue peasant shirt. And you know what I saw? A big, round light blue balloon!!!Now I don't mind telling you how disgusted I am with myself. I know better than to stress eat. These last two weeks and more have been absolute hell staff-wise at work. And of course, I've handled it the way I have for 30 years: eating sugar. I'm back on my feet today, having had a short work day, a massage, then a workout at Curves. The sun is shining, my body feels good, and I'm looking forward to the day tomorrow. However, I sure would like you gal's advice/opinion/support...please? Kristi :o) <><

Good for you for not letting that sight hold you back.

I never thought of that; if I have time to stress eat I have time for a walk. That is good advice and one I will put into practice immediately! Thank you for responding :o) Kristi <><

One time I was super stressed and glance over at a minature rose bush plant on a desk. I don't know why but I was able to focus on the small roses and regain calm. After that I always kept a plant on my desk. So, how about finding a focus object: family photo, plant, or a knick knack to take a moment for yourself. It takes a little practice but really works. I always walk when I'm stresses and even when I'm not. during my breaks at work I walk arround 4 blocks and it keeps me outside long enugh to forget what I was just dealing with back inside and what I will have to deal with when I get back, the fresh air will help calm you down. I started with just around one block and than upped it to 2 and just kept going up.

good luck

I love that idea too. You gals have such good support ideas. The walk and the focus point are both so good for a head that is spinning. Thank you! Kristi :o) <><
