Exercise for starters

Hey Girls,

I'm curious. What kind of exercises does everyone do? Before I gained weight I loved to move around and now, I must confess, it doesn't come so easily. Exercise is tough on the joints, my back and my ankle which I've fractured twice and sprained once.
So walking is nice but I'm looking for something to mix things up with.
What does everyone else do?
Did it get easier the longer you did it?

Thanks!
Miss

Thanks Shawna,

I had a Leslie Sansone DVD and remember being pleased that I could finish it.
I've got access to a pool on the weekends, for the summer anyway.
Free is a key word- you're right.
Thanks- walking sounds so much better the way that you put it :)

I recently discovered a dog park near our house.

I am a walker and started out with a slow 1/4 mile and now I am up to a brisk 5 miles a day. I also do light weights for my arms. My plan is to add swimming and fitness classes at the local Community College when I drop a few more pounds. LK

I do walking, exercise video(Pilates, walk away the pounds, Tae Bo....you name it and I have it), stationary bike, elliptical trainer, cross ramp, and treadmill.

You might try wrapping you ankle when you exercise if you are concerned about injuring it again or if it is giving you problems.
