I need some input! DH and I both have over 100 pounds to lose. I need help on a few things...

He doesnt eat chicken or fish (which makes picking a diet difficult) Are there any out there that tailor to eating beef/pork? I wanted to do south beach but we eat out a lot, and all he could have was salad..which wouldnt work for him!

The other thing is I need an obese scale. He is about 450 and scales only go up to 300. Does anyone know if they sell them, or would he have to go into the doctors every week?

Also.. what about exercise? We cant hop on a treadmill at this weight, so what exercise does everyone do?

I did a little searching online for you and found this scale is not real cheap though

Walking is always a great excercise. Just take it slow and try to increase the distance/speed with time. You will be surprised at how good you feel afterwards.

It is great that both of you are doing this together!! Just try not to make this a competition (men lose faster LOL)

    Welcome on board.

Hi Jenn, Even diets like South beach suggest that you eat lean cuts of meat. Do you think that he would be willing to try chicken if it were cooked differently or something? If not you could do something like weightwatchers. They don't say you can only eat chicken or fish. As far as exercise goes how about walking or swimming. Then as you start to lose weight you can move into higher impact exercise. Good luck and I look forward to getting to know you better. sharla
