OK well I have been browsing this board for the last couple of days and I thought I should probably introduce myself. I am so glad to have found a place like this! Its just what I need! My name is Jaime and I am 23 years old. I have always been heavy.. I'm 5'4 and weigh about 275 at the moment.. Which is pretty much the heaviest I've been.. actually I weighed a little over 300 a year ago but I was also 9 months pregnant. I have a 22 month old son and a 9 month old daughter. I had got myself down to 175 four years ago and after meeting my husband and having two kids I have gained everything back and then some. So anyway... I started using my new elliptical and have been trying to eat better for the last couple of weeks, I haven't been very consistent yet.. so I need to work on that. But just wanted to say Hi to everyone and I look forward to chatting with you all!

Hi Jaime, you and I are the same size! I haven't seen under 200 in years, so I'm anxious to get there. Are you going to have an issue with loose skin on your abdomen? For some reason I'm pretty focused on that. I do Curves and also work out in my exercise room (nothing fancy, weight machine, bike, ab curler (love those things) and tv/vcr for tapes). I'm trying to make better decisions with food but this week I have had trouble with that. Nothing sounds good but sugar, so I know I'm stressed and want this comfort eating. This next week my goal is to eat healthier anyway and see if that doesn't lessen the stress and cut some of my sugar craving. Hope so anyway! Kristi :o) <><

Well its nice to meet you! And I'm sure I will end up having some excess skin on my abdomen, but I figure I'll do my best to do my crunches and tone that area as I go so hopefully it won't be a huge deal. My sister in law has that same issue, but I think hers is mainly because she's had 4 kids, she had lost some weight but she didnt have much to lose in the first place.. but she desperately wants a tummy tuck for that. I obviously am no expert but I figure if you lose the weight while exercise consistently you'll minimize the saggy skin effect. The worse cases I've seen have been the gastrc bypass because you lose so much so quickly.. but anyway.. I'm gonna make sure to have a consistent ab workout and hope that does the trick... but we'll just have to wait and see what the outcome will be.

Hey Jamie welcome to the board. I am 5'9" and 252 pounds I hope to get to 160 or so. I hope the ab workouts work for the sagging skin I am so worried about that. I have had two kids, and I got the worst stretch marks from it and I only gained about 20 pounds with each of them. I hope I don't have saggy skin. I would love to get a tummy tuck after I lose the weight, but I doubt I will. Well any way keep us posted.
