First Mini-Goal

My First Mini Goal is to get out of the 260's:

I currently weigh 263 1/2 pounds, and I want that scale to say 259. of course, I would like to see that happen within a week or so, but I am being realistic: if it doesnt, ok. heck, I would be happy if it took TWO weeks.. I would just like to say bye - bye to the 260's relatively soon.

Do any of you ladies ( or guys, I am not quite sure whos here ) find that setting mini-goals like this helps you along the way?

I figure if I look at ALL the weight I need to lose, thats too much to focus on. I want to feel like I am winning all along the way, not just when I get there.. what about you?

I think that mini-goals is probably a great idea. I think that in my case I may be hurting myself by looking too much at the big picture and not setting small attainable goals. So, my weigh in and measurement day at Curves is on the 6th (gosh the end of next week already...)and I'm hoping to be down some then. If not then I probably need to actually get specific and say that each month I'll lose x pounds and x inches. I like this idea of mini-goals.
