Talk about a bad day. I started my period, had problems with someone in my personal life, finances, roomate issues, work issues. When it rains it pours! Everything came down on me at once between last night and today. By the time I actually had time to go eat is was 4:00 PM and I was starving, depressed, upset, etc. I wanted to go to Scholtskeys and eat a double cheese and pepperoni pizza with a LARGE Dr. Pepper.
I pushed through the temptation, it was really hard though and chose a Subway sand. with water and diet coke, no chips. First thing I drank or ate all day long :(
I really want to have a 6-pack of beer or some rum and coke tonight to settle my nerves I know it won't be a good choice though. As an alternative I hope to make it to the gym or track to release my frustrations.
Positive thing: I'm going to start a journal on this board. I found that just by writing things down I feel better already.
I'm so glad you shared that with us. And even happier to hear about your journal. I think you'll find that it really helps. And you know what? When you're having a bad day, there's nothing wrong with settling your nerves. And whatever way works best for you, I think that's ok too. Along this journey, I think you'll find that you'll be able to use other means of relieving stress that aren't so bad on the diet. But for now, if it works for you, I say go for it. :)
Thanks for your encouragement :) Well, I ended up going to work out at the gym 30 mins on the elliptical and 20 mins on arm weights. It felt good to relieve the stress. I choose a healthy chicken salad for dinner and had only one rum and coke. I topped off my night with a bubble bath with candles and relaxing music. So, im looking forward to tomorrow :)
