I like the babysteps idea, but I think I need start in a different place. One of the biggest reasons is because I am a calm, roll with the flow type of person to start with. I don't get upset very easy at all and meditation would put me to sleep. Considering my profile, some would suggest to me that prayer is meditation, but prayer is something very different to me.
However breathing is good and I will approach it in a different manner.
I think everyone finds their own type of meditation. Mine is more prayerful. When I am having a really bad time I like to put on relaxing music. I lay in bed and let it completly surround me. I love to do it to hymns but I also use other music. When I had my piano I used to play the music.Some might not call it meditation, but to me it is. It si almost as if I throw all my emotions and stress into the music.

I think we all have different ideas of meditation.
OK, I tried the meditation breathing last night and fell asleep!
If you fell asleep during it, you must've been really relaxed LOL..must be doing something right ;)
