"I dont keep ice cream in the house because Im not disciplined enough to measure out half a cup.

Confession is always a good thing, so thanks ladies for confessing!
Here's a tip, for anyone who would like to hear. It is much easier to stay on than to fall and climb back on. That being said, it isn't impossible, plus sometimes you can learn things about yourselves to work on for the future. Like for instance, if you know that you are an emotional eater, then at those times acknowledge it and do something that will get your mind off of food. Fill your mind with something else... get out of the house if you need to get away from the food and clear your mind. Then think about what is more important.
This is what I told myself..."Yvette, if you eat that ice cream you will never lose the weight that you want to lose, be strong and say no" I found alternatives to icecream and I had to literally remove anything out of sight. I was very weak when I first changed my eating habits, so it was something I had to do, and boy did it keep me in check. I could no longer grab candy, chips, ice cream, etc... But the thing was that I knew if I gave up after one week, I would never continue... so if I was really serious about losing then I couldn't cheat, not even one bite. It took me one year, but I lost 112 lbs. Don't lose the battle to food. You are all better than that. But also, don't beat yourself up if you gain weight back, or if you end up failing, just learn from your mistakes. My mom lost over 40 lbs, and gained it back, but she is back on track now, and has been for 3 weeks. She's lost about 15lbs so far.
It's easier to stay on track than it is to jump off... the first day back is always the hardest, but once you get over that hump, it gets easier and easier....

Oh Shawna!
I know how you feel toots! I gained back my weight too! I was up to 271 lbs. I've lost about 4 or 5 so far. I've been biking EVERY day. Just 3-4 miles, but it helps. I cut out junk too and am trying to avoid the bad carbs (white flour, white sugar, pie....)
I think the most important thing for me will be to not get 'crazy' with exercise. I do that, hurt something, and quit. Then comfort myself with junk. So my little bit of exercise and cutting back and TIME will do the trick. I need to learn patience...
Anyway, get a grip, come back up on the wagon, and lets ride this mother together!
Hugs,
Your bud,
Deb

Oh absolutely!
I've said this before and I'll say it again:
It's like telling an alcoholic: "oh, have just ONE beer!" or a junkie: "oh, just snort ONE line of coke!"
Ah, when will some people get it?!?!
