Where Do You Buy Clothes?

Hi Ladies-
Where do you shop for clothes? When I was working full time, I got a lot of stuff at Lane Bryant - their stuff was never really my taste, but when I needed decent clothes that looked professional and fit my budget it was a no-brainer. If I had gotten a bonus or something, I would hit Elisabeth. Now that I'm a stay at home mom, I don't need the office attire, but don't want to spend every day in a t-shirt, either. Plus, I notice that every other chubby chick seems to be wearing something from my closet, lol.

Where do you shop for well-made plus size clothes?

I normally just shop at Old Navy for casual stuff or Walmart.

Lane Bryant when they have good sales, or the Avenue.

Robinson's? I've never heard of them - they must be a regional place. Bummer.

I usualy go to Old Navy. I am a size 20 or some things 18. I don't like the way Lane Bryants clothes fit. thier shirts are always wide which makes me look bigger and I need them longer rather than wider. There isn't anywhere in my area to by anything bigger than a 16, so I order Old Navy online.

Sometimes Lane Bryant (usually if I need something more dressy and I have a good coupon). WalMart, they have Faded Glory jeans which fit me pretty well and are fairly inexpensive. Alight.com, igigi.com, sizeappeal.com, Alloy.com (they have a few things in the XXL and XXXL sizes). Woo-hoo! Old Navy has its plus sizes online and in select stores, I hope they expand that to a store in my area, but for now I can deal with online. ~Tasha

I love shopping at Old Navy for my clothes, and luckily we have several stores nearby. I wear about a size 18/20 now, and it's the only place where I can find jeans long enough and that fit. If you have a larger thigh/butt area (me, I have none compared to my waist size!) then Lane Bryant might be better. I don't shop at Lane Bryant because their clothes never fit me. I am tall, and I am bigger, but I do not have large legs or a large butt for my size, so their pants are always too tight in the waist and WAAAYYY too loose in the hips/thighs. If I need dressier clothes, I often look at Dillards or someother department store. If you look for the clearance racks, you can get some great items for not too much money.

These may be just Canadian stores.

I shop Penningtons for casual to casual dressy and bathing suits.

Addition-Elle for bras. The clothing there is much too trendy (young) for me.

I have bought the odd item at Fashion Addition but I find it is too mature for my tastes.

Like many others here, I love shopping at Old Navy and Wal-Mart.
