Here's a few quick items from Bob Greene off of eDiets that I thought were worth passing on:
Sugar-Free Not Always Healthy

Can you believe sugar-free cookies are often loaded with hydrogenated oils (trans-fats that are really unhealthy)? The first ingredient listed on many sugar free cookies is vegetable shortening, which is a trans-fat.
Always follow the four-step formula for cardiovascular exercise: stretch, warm-up, work out and cool down. This will help minimize injury and keep you "heart healthy."
You say you want to find the abdominal exercise that will flatten your abs? No specific exercise in and of itself will flatten the mid-section. The answer is lowering body fat through a calorie reduced nutrition program, weight training to stimulate the metabolism and cardiovascular exercise to burn additional calories.
Every bit of exercise helps, so work in daily exercise whenever possible. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, park farther away from your destination. Healthy people are active people; overweight people are good at finding ways to conserve their energy.
Try a variety of different exercises: walking, biking, video tapes, swimming, dancing, spinning etc. Keep experimenting with different exercises until you find those that you enjoy.
