Ok, so, I'm going to start on my healthy eating program AGAIN, hopefully for good this time. I have discovered that diet pop seems to spur on my eating binges--now I feel kind of dumb for pooh-poohing some studies that I had read about how diet soda can possibly stall weight loss. Oh well. This time around, when I first started on the program, I went 4 weeks on, very good, then fell off for 4 weeks. Then, I was another 6 weeks on, and have had about 4 very bad weeks off again. So, I'm going for this working for good this time, but, if not, hopefully I'll make it to 8 weeks! Like I said in one of the other posts, I believe that every misstep and restart only brings me closer to my goal, because it seems that I am getting better and better with my habits. I am 3 days free of soda, and not really even craving it, so I know I can kick that habit, yet again.

Ok, now I need you all to keep me in line and give me a swift kick (don't be afraid to be mean) if I start to stray again. I will be posting my meal plan for tomorrow and wednesday in the journals section, and then I will post how well I stuck with them, too. If anyone sees anything lacking in my meal plans, please, let me know, because I tend to get a one track mind when it comes to my diet sometimes.

Well, wish me strength and willpower (luck just isn't gonna cut it)!

Thanks for your encouragement! I never noticed diet pop hurting me, and I don't know if it really did, but I went over 6 weeks without it, starting the week before I went back OP, and then started slowly and then not so slowly drinking it again. By the end of 1 week, I was back up to over 2 liters a DAY...then within mere days of being back on the soda train, I was way off on my diet and haven't been able to get back on, so I don't know...

Here is my food plan for tomorrow:
Banana + 1 oz extra sharp cheddar
2x Turkey and reduced fat cheddar sandwich on lite bread
Quaker heart healthy Oatmeal
1 C skim milk + 1 slice lite bread w/ 1 T peanut butter

I know that this meal plans a bit lite on the veggies and fruit, but that's cause I don't have any fresh stuff around, and I don't get off work till 9 tonight and have to go back in at 9 tomorrow.

That's the way to go Staci!! Just keep on going and you'll make it. And I'll take you up on the swift kicking thing.

By the way, I also noticed that I gain with diet pop and I stopped 3 weeks ago. (And I started losing). So I guess the research was right about diet soda affecting some people. I did reducle that a lot of times as well.
