Just to keep everyone in the loop, please list what plan you're doing (if any), how long you've been doing said plan and how you're doing with it........

And just for fun, list your favorite of all the diets you've ever tried.................

Currently doing weight watchers. I have been on it since the middle of July and have lost 12 pounds. Before that I did my own plan of good carb/low fat diet. I lost about 45 pounds on it, but I was losing motivation. I started going to ww meetings to get some live support. I am happy with it so far.

I don't really have a favorite diet. Just what ever works and gets the weight off.

I am not on a diet, just trying to make better choices and have not lost any weight. It will hit one of these days. I am never going on another diet. Stephanie

Leaning towards The Zone, but not following it to the letter because of allergies. It works as long as I stick to it.

I do calorie counting. I do also focus on healthy eating and portion control, so that I can maintain my loss after I'm done.

In the 7 years that I've been dieting on and off, I've honestly never tried anything else. I know that this works for me, it's just a matter of sticking with healthy eating when I'm done losing the weight.

I'm thrilled with mine! It is "The G.I. diet" by Rick Gallop - a Canadian plan, so I don't know how well known it is there. It is a little like South Beach, but less restricted - focus is on eliminating refined carbs and keeping fat "healthy fat" and fairly low fat. I've tried Weight Watchers, and it didnt' address my cravings. I've tried Atkins, South Beach and Carb Addicts - and they addressed my cravings but were so restrictive I couldn't stand them for long! This one accomplishes both - cravings are gone, motivation is way up, and I can eat like this for the rest of my life. I've lost 23 pounds since the last week of july, which is the most that I've lost on any diet, ever (and the longest I've been able to stay on any diet, ever).

Well, I'm just doing calorie and health stuff... no diets. When the weight's gone, I can increase the calories to 1800/2000 to stablize, but that's about it. I used to be bulimic (spelling?), and also anorexic (not at the same time). I got tired of vomiting what I ate, and not eating at all. I gained tons after I was hospitalized. They trained me to eat and not vomit, but then I kept eating, and didn't purge it. I'm just trying to eat like a normal human being; thus, no diets, no crazy point systems, no restrictions (carbs, fat, sugar, etc), and nothing else that is out of the ordinary for me in which lifetime maintainance (spelling?) would become difficult.

Wow, long answer. :)

I follow weekly meal plans I get from my nutritionist. It is mainly portion control & we're limiting bread & rice and there is a lot of shifting calories. In the past I mostly counted calories, but I love this plan more. I've been doing it for a month and I've lost 20 lbs. I don't cheat because we agree on the plan beforehand and change anything I hate. This week I have ice cream 3 times and I have 1 free meal per week. The best thing is that I don't feel that I'm on a diet.

Hello!

I was in weight watchers, but now I don't go those meetings anymore (I did loose about 30 pounds, unfortunately almost all came back). I have all the material, so follow them at home and weight myself once a week and I execise more (waterjogging, walk with my dog).
