Do you guys get more hungry after you exercise? I did my cardio this morning and I’ve been ravenous ever since! I’ve been eating too! So far I’ve had:

½ cup Kashi GoLean crunch (pre-workout around 5:30 AM)
Low fat mozzarella cheese stick (around 8:00 AM)
Dannon light n fit w/fiber yogurt (around 10:00 AM)
Small banana (around 11:00 AM)
Lean Cuisine for lunch (around 12:00 PM)
Luna bar (around 12:45 PM)

Maybe its my hormones acting up (TOM is next week) or something…my stomach is growling like crazy. I’ve had like 60 oz of water too!

Well unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how I look at it), I've already eaten my snacks for the day, so it will be just water until dinner tonight! (hopefully my colleagues don't get annoyed by the growling of my stomach).

Well, I'm not sure, but my brother (body builder) says it's related. Your body is seeking to replenish nutrients (spelling)? lost during the work-out. It's good news if your hungry; it means your metabolism is awake. If you're just tired, then not as much fat-burning is happening.

You can have a protein snack afterwards, if you want, to help your muscles heal, and your stomach to stop growling. I give myself a boiled egg usually. Sometimes, I'll eat lunch meat straight (no bread), or have a healthy hot dog with no bread. Something like that. You can have some nuts or beans, too. Garbonzo (spelling?) or kidney beans on a bed of lettuce with some balsamic vinegar is cool, too!

HI

I usually put in 2hr workout x3 a week ( cardio + free weights ) I have a whey protien drink during my work out & a another following my workout. ( i use a whey protein drink called whey cool- looks like kool aide and isnt the chunky milkshake type) I find it helps that starving feeling following a work out. It also helps to repair & rebuild muscles that you used during the workout. You might also consider increasing your protein before and after your work out too. Your body will use your protein more efficiently to help with burn calories better & good for building your muscles.

Good luck & let me know how it works out
