Goal date for your goal weight?

Does anyone have an ideal time you’d like to have met your goal by? I have decided mine is July 2006. I am going to Greece with my father, husband and sister (my dad was born there and we are visiting all our family together) at the end of that month and I would LOVE to be at my 150 lb goal by then. That way I can actually enjoy the beautiful Greek beaches in a bathing suit (or at the very least, shorts and a tank top) without humiliation. I also would love to be in shape enough to be able to not feel like I’m dying in the heat and with all the walking. If I don’t get exactly to 150 by then, no big deal, but that is when I hope to be close. That means I will have to lose about 1.9 lbs a week to be there by the beginning of July (I’m giving myself a month to shop). I think it could be reasonable, but that means I can’t take any breaks or anything. I need to be totally committed!
Anything you’re looking forward to?

I set dates for mini goals only. And I usually change them if necessary, so they are more of guidlelines. I had a goal for breaking 220 this week. Fat chance of that happening with the way i've been eating lately. So I'm shifting the date till next week. I hope to be able to reach my final goal by next summer.
And Greece is a beautiful country. I stayed in Athens for one week during my honeymoon. But I haven't been to the beach. (I went in October and most of the islands are closed by that time because of the storms). I hope you have good time there.

Well I am new to this so I'm going to try starting with small manageable goals. I am 338lbs. and would like to be 318lbs by christmas. Thats 20lbs in 3 months. So I think I can loose 6-7lbs a month(crosses fingers).

Well, I have decided to set 2 goals:
1) Even though I weigh 250 now, I want to weight 200 by December 17th. I might not make it, but I'd rather push myself as hard as possible to make it. I'm going to cut my food intake from 1500/day to 1200/day, and exercise 6 times a week rather than 3. We'll see what happens.
2) I want to weigh under 155 by the time it's June 9th. I want to have a great summer, no matter where it is, either here or in Japan.
Either way, it's time to kick it up a notch, regardless.
I've set and re-set the 'big goal' many times. Now, I'm going to try to set mini-goals that will still aim for the big goal. I think I need the short term accountability with 'rewards' if I make a goal and 'repercussions' if I don't. Ultimately, I'd like to be healthy (140-160 range) by my 35th birthday in March of 2007. I'm hoping to take my two boys (then 4 and almost 10) to Disney and actually be able to enjoy it. So, I'm needing to start saving the money AND losing the weight.

Well I am trying to be realistic. I wanna be in the 100s by next summer but it doesnt seem doable, but I am gonna aim for 1-2 lbs a week and be happy with what I weigh as long as it is less than now. My short term goal is to be less than 250 by Halloween. So I have 6 weeks to lose about 8 pounds.... Very doable....

I would like to loss 30lbs by christmas, between 60-70 by March 26, my birthday. And, to be at goal weight by June or July. Time for summer vacation. (trying to get in that 2 piece for the first time in my life or at least have the option) :)
