Well, I can already see that Friday evenings after a hard week of work are going to be rough. I am simply not in the mood to prepare anything, and I live where going out to eat anything healthful is pretty much an impossibility without a 45 minute drive. I need suggestions on how to beat this!

Try getting some diet frozen dinners, like Lean Cuisine or Weight Watchers Smart ones or Healthy Choice. Its what I turn to when I just do NOT feel like cooking.

You could just allow yourself that one splurge meal a week. You dont have to go over the top and get a hot fudge icecream and brownie or something but a cheeseburger and fries or even a steak and loaded baked potato isnt going to damage your progress if you just do it once a week. I do that A LOT, if i dont i feel deprived and cravings start to get the best of me. So once a week i have a controlled splurge meal, which is much better than the all out binge i would do if i didnt have a little indulgence...it gives me something to look forward to. It also helps when i really want something, i can just tell myself...i can make it til friday...then i have it on friday (which is also my weigh in day) and all is well.

Terriblue -

I would suggest that during the week, when you do cook, to set aside a serving and freeze it for later in the week. In this way on those "I can do anything" Fridays comes along you can just add a small salad from a salad bag and pop your frozen meal into the mircowave oven and you done....everyone else can go PB&J!
