Nervous about today's weigh-in

Well, its been exactly one week since I rejoined Weight Watcher's. I'm a little nervous about weigh-in tonight. I've been staying within my points range (for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, every food is allotted a point value, and you are supposed to stay within so many points per day) but I don't feel any lighter. I'm worried that the scale is going to tell me I've been doing this for a week only to gain pounds. The meeting is at 5:30pm. Its only just before 10am right now, so I still have 7 1/2 hours to fret! Its been kinda quiet on the message board recently. I managed to only eat 6 little Halloween candies last night, and don't have any desire to scarf down the remaining candy this morning. I am currently munching on stir-fry vegis cooked without the oil and with 3oz of chicken breast. So my appetite isn't getting the better of me. For now. Well, hope everyone else is doing well this morning. I'll cross my fingers tonight and hope for the best. I'll post my weigh-in later this evening to keep everybody apprise of the situation. :)
Have a great day!

Katherine,
It sounds like you are following your plan well so I'm sure you will do fine on your weigh-in. I'm sending lots of positive thoughts your way.

Thanks, it's great to be here. I was really surprised when I stepped on the scale and I saw I was down 5, I've got such a long way to go but, it is a start.

Yay! Its 7:30pm here and I just returned from my second Weight Watchers meeting. Well, I ate dinner afterwards (soup and toast), but now I'm here with good news! I LOST! I'm down 2.2 pounds from last week, putting me at 360.6 pounds. Hurray! I know, its not very much, but I'm just happy I didn't gain any weight. So many times this past week I have run into temptations. Halloween candies, oversize portions, fast food cravings, I could go on and on. I probably have already, but I'm in such a good mood tonight, I don't care if I ramble.:) The meeting was even fun! We had a newcomer tonight who looked to be about the same size as me. The only one, too! Although there doesn't seem to be anyone my own age. But that is probably a blessing, because I usually get along better with more mature people. Seems to be less drama. We discussed how just a bite here or a nibble there can really throw your weight loss plan off track. I hadn't realized just how many calories there was in all the little "this doesn't count, because its just a taste" food. The average nibbler consumes an extra 500 calories a day just tasting and nibbling! That adds up to 3500 extra calories a week! That's the equivalent of 1 pound of body fat. Yikes! Anyway, I'm not nervous now. (DUH!) Tonight has given me a bit of hope that maybe, just maybe, I can really do it this time around. I figure I'm just going to take this one week at a time. Very mini-goals. (at least for now, that means 1.5-2 pounds per week weight loss)Hope everyone is having a super night.
