I think there's a very fine line between having support and having annoying people butting in your efforts.
I only inform close family members on my plans to lose weight. By this I mean my parents, sister, and in laws. I think it is easier since we eat together 2-3 times a week. And I find that they don't push food on my plate often (they still do and urge for a bite here and a bite there, but stop when I say no). They do not discuss with me if I lost anything or go into detail and I love that. I think this is a perfect support system. (of course nothing is perfect, but you get my drift).
Hubby is a different story. I tell him everything in detail. And he is super supportive most of the time. But sometimes crosses over to being annoying. I think it is good for me when he gives me a look if I'm eating something wrong. But sometimes I really need a treat and this gets annoying. But I know he is doing this with best intentions, so I smile and let it pass.
Other people don't need to know. I am starting to get comments that I am losing weight. And when they ask me if I'm on a diet, I smile and say yes. And that's is. This is a private buisness.
Here is a different story. If I need a slap on the face, I expect it here. Since we're all in this journey together, I know that everything said is from the heart. I don't get offended by any posts and I hope people aren't offended by my posts.
