Today on the Martha Stewart show was a woman who baked 75 dozen cookies every week.
She sent them to the soldiers in Iraq.

With all of our hearts open,

And our ovens nice and warm,

Let's share the spirit of the season

and send some cookies to our boys in Iraq at:

We are all in a baking and giving mood,
so why not share some of our bounty
of the season with the boys who are our
soldiers in a strange place called Iraq
this holiday season.
I promise you that this gift
is big on returns....
the good feeling you get
when you know you
support our troops.

Merry Christmas,

A few weeks ago my DS1 left.
so please tell all of your
friends that a friend of yours son
has just arrived in Iraq,
and his moma misses him already.
.
Even though they are all professinal soldiers,
in our hearts they are still our little boys.

I'm sure he is not the only one over there who
wishes he was still at home for the holidays
I hope that all of you do your best to support our troops,
not only at Christmas, but remembering their difficult job lasts all year long.

Happy Holidays

If you want to get away from the problems of the everyday world, take a visit
over to www.anysoldier.com and find a friend. There are folks over there who are looking
for a touch of home and this is a nice place to give them support.
Before you pop over there this is a part of what you will see:
...............................................................

How this works:

We provide Soldier contacts on the Where to Send page.
Read through the names and select the ones you wish to support.
They list what they want and need.
We even have a search capability so you can identify easily what the troops need most.

All the Soldiers involved in this effort are military volunteers

stationed in areas that are in harm's way.

You send your support (letters and/or packages) addressed to them and when they see the "Attn: Any Soldier" line in their address

they put your letters and packages into the hands of

Soldiers who don't get much or any mail first.

Everything is shared.

We have What to Send and How to Send pages
to help you properly send letters and packages,
and a FAQ page,
please read these.

This effort is 110% voluntary.
You send your support,
and maybe some stuff,
directly to whatever unit
or units you want,

you don't send us anything.

PLEASE read the entire web site before you send anything.

We want you to be informed and comfortable with this effort.

Thank you for your support!
.......................................................................

So you see it's easy. They are just kids, looking for a touch of home from you.
A box of Tide, some Downy softener, some nice smelling lotion, some personal and hygenic
products,(it's a desert over there). If they have a microwave theyll tell you in their
letter. You can send popcorn, gatorade,DVD's magazines, newspapers, games.

Easiest of all, you can write LETTERS, we all know how to do that.
And if we just spend a half hour a day writing a nice letter
about our daily life here at home.
That's all they want to know is life is going on as normal
while they are far away from home.

You will give a gift that keeps your heart warm by keeping theirs warm, too.

So are you ready now, to pop on over there ?
Excited?
Eager to help?
Well then git!!

And Thank you!
