Weigh-in during period time???

Should you weigh your self while your on your period? I just had my weekly weigh in today and I just started my period on Saturday and I've gained 4 pounds when I thought I shouldve lost or least stayed the same.
Does it make any difference or what?

Yep for some people it does. Mainly because of water retention. And for some people (like me) it's the week before the period. Wait until the period is over and weigh again.

Yeah, Im going to wait till next monday to weigh again. Although Im sure I wont have lost anything since the weekend is christmas and my mom makes this awesome turkey salad. So I usually live off turkey salad sandwiches for awhile after christmas.
Im at 247 now, I would LOVE to be at 214, how did you do it?

Well it took over 7 months, but it was worth it!! I lose very slowly. I am not following any specific diet. Mainly I'm just eating healthy. I make a meal plan for the week because if I don't plan ahead and make healthy food available at home, I am doomed to failure. I also started journaling for a few months and that gave me insight on what I was eating and where I can save some calories.
The best thing you can do is not to give up. Even if you're not losing. So what if you eat mom's awesome turkey salad? Just make sure you're not washing it down with tons of soda and be easy on the dessert. I plan to enjoy myself during Christmas meal.. and the aftermath of Christmas hehe.. but for me the cookies are the priority, so I'm skipping the fatty food. I hope by doing this, I am keeping the damage to the minimum and at the same time I'm not depriving myself.
LOL I didn't intend for this to be so long. Sorry for rambling. I lost 2 more pounds by the way.. after about a month of plateau..

No, I am not a health no-it-all, but I do know (for reasons that I can't remember) that you should not weigh-in when your body is going through so many hormonal changes. It'll fluxuate on you. Wait until before or after a period..
Also, from the body comp people at the gym...
Do not weigh yourself after a work-out. Best time to weigh is BEFORE you work out. Because when you work out it gets things pumping and, I don't know, it just isn't the best time. First thing in the morning is good.

First thing in the morning, but after you go to the bathroom. This way you know your weight is an absolute minimum LOL..
