hi....i've been here before, but was away for quite awhile. but, as part of my new year's resolutions, i'm recommitting myself to losing weight through exercise and diet. i'm not sure how much i weigh cuz i don't actually have a scale. somewhere around 285 i think. i want to get down to 170. maybe if i get down around 200 i'll decide i might want to go lower....but i don't want to drive myself crazy to try to be skinny so i'm focusing on a weight that i know i could be healthy at. my only special concern is that my husband and i are sort of ttc, so i don't want to cut calories too drastically just in case we do, um, achieve *hehe* our goal and don't find out right away. so anyway, hi again! i don't know for sure who here was here when i was before.....so hello for the first time for anybody who doesn't remember me at all!

Hey! Congrats on your ttc. It is easier to conceive when you are following proper nutrition, and the closer you are to a healthy weight before the pg the easier it is to get and stay pg, and have a healthy pg. my advice, eat balanced, don't go below 1500 cals a day, and take pre-natal vit. good luck

i know i'm going to end up shopping all the time cuz i love fresh veggies! and i want to make sure that i'm eating plenty of those, esp. since i'm going to cut down on how much meat i eat. before i met my husband, i was a *nearly* vegetarian (i ate a little meat once or twice a week, maybe) and i had lost a lot of weight. i ate pasta, low fat dairy, and veggies and i lost at least 60 lbs in like a year. which isn't losing weight super quick or anything, but they always say slow and steady wins the race, right?
