So today I was on the treadmill. I was hating it the first 10 minutes or so. With me its like, it hurts, then it doesn't once the endorphins kick in. But today, I was like SCREAMING at myself inside my mind "I want this SOOO Bad!!! For this reason and that reason, but mostly for me!!" And it seriously pumped me up, and got me movin my butt.
So, I have decided, that I am my best motivator. No one, or anything else is. Its all about what I want. Yes, I will probably eat junk food, when I shouldn't. But, I can do this. I WILL do this. For ME!!!!
On the down side. How come you burn so few calories, when you feel like you are working your body, and your heart SO much? I mean, I don't try to look at my calories, because it gets me down. I feel like I got such a good workout, my lungs feel clear, my head feels clear, my legs have that burning feeling. And I walked 2 and a half miles.....but only 168 caloire's????? How is that possible....THAT is so messed up....anyone else feel like that?

Amen, sister! It can be really frustrating to see those numbers and realize that you ate more than that at breakfast. The thing that keeps me going is knowing I'm increasing my metabolism and it will stay increased for a little while after. I may not burn that much during the actual exercise, but there is benefit afterwards. Also, I know the more I work, the more muscles I will gain and that helps, too.
When you are ready to increase your level of workout, I've noticed that the incline can make a big difference in calories. I like to do the random program where it raises up and down like I'm walking on hills. That way I get the benefit of incline, but I can rest a little when there isn't one. Plus, it breaks the monotony for me a little bit.
Hang in there, you are doing great! We are our own best cheerleaders.
Does the machine ask you to enter your weight and gender before you start? If it doesn't, then it is calibrated to calculate for a 170 pounds male... and it means that you're burning MUCH more than that. My stationary bike usually give me 195 calories per session, but when I use the calculators on weight loss sites, they average around 350-390.
And like the previous poster said, you're increasing your metabolism and burning more calories after you finish with your session.
You're doing a great job. Keep it up!
