... and you don't feel like sugar-free jello, or some sweet fruit but like chocolate chip cookies and a cream filled donut?

This is a question that has been plagueing me for years. So far the best solution I came up with is cereal. I buy some cereal that is sweet. We have these little whole wheat pockets filled with nougat and they are so good. So I eat an ounce or two of that and the craving is gone. Or I buy this cinnamon cereal and eat that. Without milk of course, so it is just like cookies. Does anyone have a better suggestion?

One thing that I do when I just can't take it anymore and have to have a cookie is share. I take 1/2, or just a bite, and let my husband or son have the rest since they don't have a weight issue. I chew it really slow and make sure I enjoy it. I've also done dried apricots half dipped in almond bark. They are so good! I've also heard the 100 calorie packs of cookies, etc., are good, but can't get them where I live. They would be next on my list if I could, though.

I just tried a recipe that a friend on Weight Watchers gave me and it is fabulous! Maybe it can help when you need some sweets. They are more like cake than muffins and very easy to make.

Pumpkin Muffins
18.25 oz. pkg. of yellow cake mix (dry - don't follow the box directions)
12 oz. can pumpkin
1 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. ground nutmeg
1/4 t. ground cloves

Mix together and bake in lined muffin tin at 350 for 30 mins.

I cheated and used 1/2 large can pumpkin pie mix (already has spices). It made 19 muffins and I calculated it to be 130 cal and 2 g fat per muffin. If you do Weight Watchers, it's 2 pts. per muffin. Using the pie mix may bump the calories up slightly from the original, I'm not sure. All I know is they freeze well and I can just grab one whenever I need a fix. Hope this helps!

Hot cocoa milk. I use skimmed milk. Heat it up until it is really hot. Add unsweetened cocoa and loads of artificial sweetener. I don't like using powder milk substitutes, it doesn't give the same flavor. All n all, it's just the calories from the milk (cocoa is like 5 calories or something). And it is so yummy and it takes a long time to drink (cuz it's hot)
