Yep, Wk 2 loss another 5 lbs and 1 % of body fat.

I am loving Curves 6 week nutrition program. I love the circuit training. I feel stronger in my physical body and more energy.

Total in 2 weeks:
10 lbs
and the best part 2% body fat.

Yippee.....thank the Lord above for keeping me focussed on loving myself enough to go to Curves 3x a week, drink my 4-500 ml of water daily and to journal what I eat and to make healthier choices from my plate to my belly!!

LOL

So excited!
I am getting closer!!

Not bad, still hanging in there. Yesterday I felt like I could have eaten my arm and maybe a leg, too, I was so hungry. That's pretty rare for me, but I realized it was my hormones. They are still all out of whack because I have had to go off the pill three times and switch types once in the last year due to unavailability at our tiny pharmacy here. I should be straightened out this month (I hope). I did manage to keep the eating in check, though, by adding extra water and a diet soda and today feels better, so far.

Reap some rewards alright.. I've been walking a little during the day for the past 2 days and I noticed people are starting to give me looks.. I know how stupid this sounds, but being noticed from complete strangers is a bit of a motivation..

on second thoughts, they might have just been looking at the fat lady with the red face, huffing and puffing up and down the street.. LOL

Hi Janelle:
Curves has a 50% off registration fee right now in my area, the 6 weeks program I paid for 1/2. As part of their special 'Join Curves' promo. Monthly it costs me $40 Cdn a month.

The 6 week program which was the incentive program, I got a new Curves gym bag, protein shake for my use if I want, a book that gives me the meal ideas and guidelines, nutrition tips, a Tshirt. We meet every week for 6 weeks. We have challenges and rewards. I am getting a lot from this class, and it is always good to encourage others. We get a full measurement, body fat test, weigh in at first and at several times during the 6 weeks. A lot of ladies come early to get weighed in before the class because it keeps them knowing how they are doing as they learn how to feed their bodies. The program has set times for weigh ins (for example always before a workout, never afterwards). I have lost 10 lbs to date as of Week 2, 2 1/2% body fat which is really what makes me excited. Body fat is not good. I am in the obese range and my goal is to get down to the range I should be for me.

My best advice to you, is to continue with your previous commitment, start using the facilities which I am sure have all the greatest machines and you will start seeing the results. I understand it may be a challenge to lace up those runners perhaps but try and remember how you felt when you first started to feel great in your body. You are the one that has to push yourself. I believe that you can do it.

What I personally like about Curves so far and I believe your gym has probably much more machines for you to us, I love the fabulous workout that I get. I go 3x a week, the next day my body needs to recover for sure but the day after that I go at lunch and put in my 30 minutes knowing that I am building muscles. know that Curves was founded on a Christian base which is important for me.

I hope the above helps to encourage you to pursue and persevere.

I am not sure if you have access to maybe a library there but there are some great video or DVDs for abdomen workouts.

The old situps are always the best. Starting slow.
Also to make an active 'head decision' to pull in your belly during the day.

I find that I keep on remembering to suck in my gut. It helps to work that area as well.
