HI... My name is Sara...
I am 5'4" tall and currently weigh 317.
my long term goal is to get down to 200 lbs by my 35th birthday (May 2007)
At my highest i weighed 342 and that was the day I had DS.. (a little over 7 months ago).
my main problem is that i eat WAYYY too much.. i typically eat 3-4x the normal serving size, so i am working really hard at eating correct portions. and trying to eat more fresh fruits and veggies..
plus i have to start moving this big body to get some physical activity. i have a ªsit downª job, so i am sitting for 8 hrs a day. when i am at home i am pretty active chasing after my kids, but i have no time set aside specifically for ªexerciseª.
I have 2 kids.. Samantha who will be 2 yrs old next week, and Zachary who just turned 7 months old. and DH (Todd) who i have been married to a little over 2 yrs but have known since grade school.
I look forward to losing weight with all of you..

You are so right! We ALL have to start somewhere. If you're interested in a buddy as we undertake this journey I'm here.

Hi Sara.. your kids are adorable!
I understand that it is difficult to set aside time just for exercise. I have 1 son, Mark, who will turn 2 in March and when he's around, I cannot do anything but play with him. And you have 2 children, so I bet your hands are full!!
I am trying to sneak out and walk during my time at work. I tried it yesterday and it worked out great. I will try it today too. Maybe you can try that?
