Hi, I'm Peg from Erie, Pa. I just signed onto ivillage and decided to try out the boards.
I too have to lose over 100 lbs. and I'm also a widow and grandma. My dear husband died in 2005 at the age of 55. I really want to lose weight to be healthier and be around for my family, BUT I'm so bad at this. I hope this will encourage me.
Just wanted to say hi because we have some similar circumstances. See you on the boards.

Hi, I'm a Newbie also. I just joined as a matter of fact. I've GOT to lose for my health. I'm 59 and this is my New Year's Resolution. I heard about this site on the Today Show this morning and here I am. I'm desparate. I know my life would be a lot better and healthier if UI lose all this extra weight. I've got a 100lbs good solid pounds to lose. I'm counting on this site to help me! We all need each other for this. If we stick together, maybe we can ALL be successful.

WoW 7 kids in 10 yrs, hats off to you!! My mom had 6 but she did it in 16 yrs.......LMAO I have 3 and though having more wouldn't have hurt my feelings, I just don't do well with pg and we decided it was best for my health and the health of the baby not to have any more hence I got fixed in 2004 after ds was born.

I want to welcome you aboard, wish you the best of luck, and say congrats on such a big family and still being sane (u r still sane right??) LMAO
