Hi Mary, and Laura, thanks for the encouraging words. Yesterday I received an article about Bariatric Surgery.

I just don't think I could ever go through with it. I am 46 years old, and it worries me I could die just trying to lose this weight,

I went to the mall yesterday, bought some new walking shoes, went for a 20 min walk yesterday, and also today.

I know this isn't very far, but it is all I can manage for now. I have a bad right knee, arthritis, more reason to just get this weight off once and for all.

Keep up the good work everyone,

Down 10, and 99 more to go.

Good for you! Small steps add up to some great success. It seems like most of the people here (including me) started making gradual changes that turn into bigger ones when you are ready. Just stay positive and I know you can do it!

Congratulations on the 10lbs!!

Speaking of running shoes, I should buy myself a pair. I went on a 25 minute walk on Monday & Tuesday and my back started to kill me.. note to self: don't walk with high heels (duh!)

Small steps is the way for me too.. especially when it comes to exercise.. I am finally starting something instead of whining about not exercising.. we'll see how long it goes. Tell you what? I'll stick to it as long as you do :)

Hi Mary

Didn't go for a walk yet today, too cold, and it's snowing here in Ohio. I will go down and do the treadmill, just doing abit of house cleaning.

I weighed myself this am, was up a lb, UGHHHH, I was really disappointed at first, but I know it is just that I am retaining water, it is that time of the month, or at least it will be friday.

That is great that you went for a walk , good going, but I agree with you ditching the high heels, you will be far more excited to walk if it is in cofortable shoes .

I am not going to let 1lb get the better of me, I know I am doing all the right things, and I have not had a morsel of anything that I shouldn't be having in 2 wks. I was taking Hoodia capsules, but stopped because I think I had a reaction to them. My face broke out really bad, I even went to the dr on monday, she gave me antibiotics for it.

I really hope it clears up soon, I've been hiding in the house for a week now.

Good luck with finding some shoes.

So Holly, did you make it on the treadmill yesterday? I am wearing my running shoes today and I will go for a walk later. Thursday is casual day at the office, so it was easy to wear something comfy. I am not sure I can do this everyday though.

I hope your face is starting to get better now. It's awful to get trapped in the house for that reason. And I hope the weather gets better soon. Snowing huh? and I was complaining that it drops to 35 at night!
