'Pharmacists Brace For Demand of New Gastric Bypass Pill'
By Tammy Reynolds
Washington, DC, January, 20th 2006
Demand for the World's first “Gastric Bypass Pill” is soaring say D.C. pharmacists. “Were getting at least 6 or 7 calls a day and we even can't get a delivery date yet” says Pharmacist Jim Ducker.
Is this the real 'Zero Will Power Diet' ? Researchers say, maybe.
The newly approved pill to watch is ZetaCap. Recently OK'd for retail sale. ZetaCap is not available yet, and may not hit stores for another 60-90 days says the manufacturer.
“This was my last stop before surgery” said Jennifer Levitz, a recent ZetaCap trial participant. “I just knew this wasn't going to work, It seemed impossible, but now, suddenly I'm losing a pound a day, I've never been jittery or nervous and even when I try to eat I can't hold much.
ZetaCap is radically different says it's makers. Instead of making you FEEL full, like stimulant diet aids, ZetaCap actually FILLS your stomach for 8-10 hours with a non-digestible gel.
Here's how it works: ZetaCap simulates the method used by gastric bypass surgery or stomach balloons, but without risky surgery. It physically fills up 80-85% of your stomach mass with a water based gel in minutes that takes 8-10 hours, meanwhile you fell full as a tick.
“You really can't eat” Said Cynthia Towel, another ZetaCap tester of around three months. “So far I have lost 51 and a half pounds. It's the only thing that's ever worked for me”
Doctors warn because a stomach blocking method like Zetacap's has never been broadly used before, they still aren't sure of long term medical effects but even experts agree given the alternative of major surgery like a gastric bypass it's a no brainier especially for those morbidly obese.
The company says there's nothing else like their patent pending product in the World and the buzz is off the charts. A recent search for the brand name ZetaCap, virtually unknown a few months ago, returned over 123,000 results from Yahoo.com's search page and 66,000+ from Google.
'We are working to ZetaCap to the shelf but our first priority is to our direct consumers that order online or from their doctors. We're shipping 500 or so orders every day'

Sara,
You and me both.
Here are some reviews I found on the Internet. It looks like another placebo/excuse in a bottle:

I don't mean to butt in, but I have used ZetaCap before. I don't think that it's the miracle pill that they claim it to be. You have to drink at least 8 ounces of water with it 30 minutes prior to eating, and anyone who does that will naturally feel fuller. The gel that they say forms in your stomach really doesn't. It spreads out about double the pill size and I truely feel that it's one of those mind games, where you think that you are going to be full because of the pill, so you don't get as strong of hunger pains. I know that it doesn't truely fill your stomach with a gel, because I was sick with a stomach bug, and about 2 hours after taking it I threw up, and the pill came out with everything else about double the size that it was in the first place. I took it for about a month, and I only lost 6 lbs, so don't believe everything that you read. I wouldn't spend the money on it if I were you. I hope that you find this advice useful.
