Well, I put making better food choices because that's what I'm doing, even though I'm pregnant. I don't count calories per se, but, in reality, I have been a dieter/calorie counter for so long, I can tell you how many calories I eat on an average day without having to look up a single item or food label :). My goal is to not gain uncontrollably and so far it's working beautifully for me. My goal after the baby is going to definitely be losing weight, hopefully only around 70 lbs or so, and back to calorie counting I will go, along with the making better food choices. It works because it's easy since I have a very good memory and know most food off the top of my head.

I count calories. I like it cuz it's not restrictive.. i.e. there is no food off limits and I can accomodate anything as long as I plan for it. I also know the calorie count of many foods without looking them up (well the food I eat often at least).


It's a plan I can follow for life, and for me that's the most important thing

I said making better food choices
but i am also limitin my portions... instead of just piling the food on my plate, i am looking at the serving size and trying to just eat 1 serving..
