Let's focus on one goal to achieve this week. Mine will be to focus on exercise. I plan to walk/cycle at least 3 times this week so that I can eventually make it a habit. I will tell you each time I exercise so you can root for me OK?

My goal this week is to increase my cardio workout. I usually only walk a mile a day and do some weight lifting. However, my arthritis has been acting up (I think this insanely cold weather isn't helping) so instead of weight lifing, I am going to double my cardio, walking 2 miles/day. I started doing this on Saturday, and my goal is to continue throughout this week.

Good luck Mary - I'll be cheerin' ya on! :-)

Hi Mary,

My goal for the week, to stay strong despite what life throws at me, drink more water, and will try to up my speed from 4.7 to 4.9 on the treadmill.

How's everybody doing? Any progress towards your goals?

Was going to try and up my walking speed this week. I started out this morning, and I had to litterally push myself the entire time. I felt tired before I had even started, so I was only able to keep it at 4.5 @ 45 min, was shooting for 4.7.

I thought well maybe I can walk a little longer time wise, but I am already doing 45 min, and that for me is likely all I can muster for now.

Once I got going I felt a little better. My you know what is due any day, so maybe that is why I feel so tired.

Stay strong, keep walking,

Holly

I walked two miles last night at 3.0 on the treadmill! I was sooooo tired yesterday too, but I kept telling myself that I need this and that I would feel so much better after I walked - and I did!

I'll be at it again tonight!

Good luck to everyone with their goals this week!

Great work ladies, I guess yesterday was a good day for us. Let's keep it up again today.. work towards those goals. I know I'll be cycling for 20 minutes when I return back from work today.

And Holly, don't worry that you're not able to reach 4.7 yet, maybe it's because of your visitor. Just keep at it and I know you can reach your goal eventually. the most important thing is that you're trying.
