Ladies, should I change the location of where I work out?

As I mentioned before, I went roller skating on Saturday for a lesson. It is a belated surprise Valentine's Day present for my dh because he is a rollerskating nut! I have lost weight and built muscle and I felt strong enough to do it and enjoyed myself and was pretty okay at it for a novice again!

Sunday after church we surprised him at the roller place. I had to come off after a short time because my legs felt like jello. Dh reminded me that I had worked muscles in a way skating that was different so it is natural to feel that way and he told me to take off my skates and just stretch out the muscles. I did and felt good all day and well as today.

I wanted to go to Curves today to work out only the upper half because I felt my legs needed more time to heal and adjust. The lady who is filling in for my regular manager was full of criticism towards me on the phone. Tell me if I am weird!

She said basically I am doing much more than what they recommend their members do (the recommend 3x a week at Curves). Plus she reminded me that I jogged on Tuesday. Plus roller skated on Saturday. Her tone with me was one of criticism instead of support and encouragement. I am being weird here but I am not to get support and encouragement from the place that I work out?

I felt like she was almost jealous of me which is weird because I dont ever feel like that. I know she struggles with her weight loss journey and has personal issue to deal with but even when I have a struggle, I still try and consider the other person. What kind of a Christian would I be if it was all about me all the time? Gee, anyhow after she totally tried to burst my bubble about coming to the gym; a friend here brought me to her gym as a guest and I had my workout there.

What a weird day?
Should I go to the Curves near my house? I really like the trainer there she is always on the floor checking how you use the machines. She remembers my name and is always introducing the ladies to each other. It is a different feel there.
What do you suggest?

PS I am not the arguing kind. I am a lover not a fighter! Smile.

The woman at Curves could have been genuinely concerned. Maybe she was afraid you would tear a muscle or something painful.

Go where you get support and encouragement, not negativity and reprimand.

Thank you ladies. After work I went to the Curves within walking distance from our home and it was a total different environment. I felt encouraged and was able to feel a sense of belonging working out at this location. It is a new day and I have forgiven that lady at the other location. I am not perfect and I know that there are times that I have been insensitive to others. I decided to go to continue to go between both gyms until March 6 when I have my last official weigh in and measurement done; then switch my files over to the Curves near my house. Thanks again for your input and comments; I appreciate it.
Have a wonderful day.
