When you eat, do you often eat without really noticing how much you eat?

The difference between physical and emotional hunger involves mindfulness. To satisfy physical hunger, you normally make a deliberate choice about what you consume and you maintain awareness of how much you eat. You notice how much you eat so that you can stop when full. Emotional hunger, in contrast, rarely notices what's being eaten and if you have emotional hunger, you'll want more food even after you're stuffed.

Has anyone out there gone through or going through this right now?

I eat because I love the taste, texture, smell and feel of food. I love cooking different things and trying new recipes. I love almost ALL foods. I love trying new foods. I love eating out.

And being from an Italian family, eating is a big deal at every holiday.

I wish I could be one of those people that just eats to live.

I love sweets. It's as simple as that.

Sometimes I eat uncontrlebaly and even when I am stuffed. But I think that's binging more than anything else. And I only do this when I feel deprived. This is why I like to keep some sugar in my diet every day (calories counted ofcourse)

I am an emotional eater. I get depressed and I want to eat anything with chocolate or a lot of sugar, although sometimes it changes to salty things but not very often. The bad part is I start eating and I lose track of how much I have eaten, I don't really enjoy it and I never really get full from it.
So I try not to do that anymore. I get out of the house or find something to do until it passes.
