I went in all gung ho..

and what did I do? I BLEEEEWW it!!! LOL I forgot my lunch so I ate a doughnut at work
I drank 1/2 my water and dinner was at 8:30 because I didn't get home from the gym until then.

I don't feel bad. I did what I always do, I make declarations and leave no room for Life to happen. And I'm proud that I went to the gym and worked my butt off for an hour! I'm even MORE proud that my BF brought home ice cream and even though I wanted some I realized that I wasn't hungry and didn't eat it :)

so today is a new day.. How did you all do?

I haven't done so well this week. Yesterday I too went all gung-ho but slowly slipped and ended up eating 1/2 a candy bar. I just found out that the business I work for is considering selling out to a company in PE and that means I will lose my job. What a stresser. We won't know for a couple weeks whether or not it will happen so I'm stuck in this unsure state and it is really depressing me. So what do I do? Turn to food of course.

Tonight I'm determined to keep my mind occupied and not raid the kitchen. We'll see if I can keep my self from doing that. What I need to do is go for a good walk but it is snowing out. Ick. I can't wait until the good weather comes.

What does everyone do when they get depressed and want to turn to food? What kind of coping skills do you use?

so sorry to hear about the job, it's not over yet.. and might just turn out ok.

It's hard to turn away from what usually comforts you. Have you tried journaling or working out to deal with the stress? What about trying to get together with a friend or 2, or just talking to them on the phone?

what I usually do as corny as it may sound is put on some girly "aint nobody gonna bring me down" music and dance around the house.. if I can't do that then I have my little private blog that only I can read and just go off on a rant until either I feel better or I just don't want to deal with it anymore.

I'm sure some of the other ladies can offer some advice as well.

me too... I was all excited after seeing a drop in the scale and was having all these wonderful plans of following my diet to the letter.. then came the cake.. then the chocolate.. for 3 days :)
