How do you push yourself?

You've done what you thought you couldn't do.. You've convinced yourself to exercise. You're hot, sweaty, breathing hard, getting tired and maybe even a little sore (but not real pain) How do you convince yourself to keep going?
usually happens to me about 1/2 through my cardio.. a trick that sometimes helps me is...
I focus on the clock if I have 14:59 minutes left I tell myself I have "under 15 minutes to go, if I really wanted to quit I should have done it 10 minutes ago.. this is nothin." I keep that line of thought going until I push through that plateau. Works almost every time.

I hate to exercise.....
I pass the time by playing my favorite songs on the mp3 player..
COVERING the timer is a MUST!!!!
Also my oldest child will be a senior next year.
I would love to look better for all the events we will have to attend.
Also We are going to Miami in May for a banquet ( company trip)!
I would love to feel a little better by the time the trip comes around.
Another big reason to push myself is.. I have to get on an air plane to go to Miami.
I am very scared I will not fit in the plane seat.
I hear so many horror stories about big people on planes.
Last year the company trip was in Vegas. WE DROVE!
( We live in Alabama)
I was scared of the plane seats..
This year we are going to fly.
So exercise is a must.
( I must confess I am scared to fly for other reasons)
But I do not need to plane seat belt worry along with the anxiety of first time flying..
260/249/mini goal 220
one way i push myself is tell other people i am going to work out and then i feel responsible to follow through. something else that has worked really well is setting mini challenges for myself, like working out 5 days in a row, then just keep making that number bigger. if it's only the 2nd day of my challenge, i feel like an idiot not working out. sheesh, i can't work out 2 days in a row? then day 3 it's a little easier, and so on.
i also try to have a visual motivation around me. at work, i have a sheet printed out with pictures and events coming up, so when i'm tempted to take the elevator or go get a cookie, i look at the sheet and i see the boots i want to fit into or are reminded of my friend's wedding coming up. that helps too
My problem is starting the exercise, but once I start it is easier to get going. I usually like to watch TV while on my bike and I watch till the end of the show. I also tell myself that I made it to the bike and there is no point in stopping now since I'm already here. When I'm walking it is much easier, I just go further away and I know I need to get back, so I'm stuck with the rest of the walk.
I also record how much I exercised and seeing the numbers is a nice motivation. And if you have your book in the open, believe me you don't want to write: biking for 10 minutes.
