OK I'm obviously obsessed with the 100 number LOL

I thought it would be nice to gather all the diet & exercise tips & tricks that we have in one thread. It will help us learn from each other and it can offer a good guide for new members as well.

I'll open:

1. Take small steps instead of trying to change all your life at once. This way it's less likely for you to get overwhelmed.

2. Don't always park at the closest parking spot. Get a little extra exercise by parking farther away for the store or mall. (at a distant you feel safe and comfortable with).

3.) take a little notebook with you when you work out and jot down what you did and how long you did it. Then you can go back and look to see if you're slacking off or if you've been able to increase the work you've been doin.

8) If you have a craving for sweets, try a cup of Honey Nut Cheerios or something like that. It's more filling, gives you whole grain and has 120 cals with 1.5 g of fat. Plus, it takes a while to eat if you make yourself do it one little O at a time.

9. Take the stairs instead of an elevator or escalator whenever possible.

10. Try tiny portions of "the real thing" when the low-cal/fat substitute makes you cringe. (Like: 1 teaspoon of Good Seasons salad dressing instead of a mountain of low-fat dressing. Toss your salad well in a baggie and it coats the whole thing!)

11. Write down your top reasons for wanting to lose the weight. Keep the list handy and have a look at it when you feel you're lacking motivation.
